Real Madrid and Manchester United have ended the first half 1-1 in tonight's Champions League last-16 first-leg tie at the Santiago Bernabeu.

They were rewarded for their persistence with half an hour played as Ronaldo leapt above Patrice Evra to head in powerfully.
Welbeck then failed to convert on the stretch before De Gea denied Mesut Ozil.
