Robinho says that the AC Milan squad will welcome Mario Balotelli with "open arms".

AC Milan star Robinho has welcomed the news of Mario Balotelli's impeding arrival at the San Siro.

The Italian international is due in Milan tomorrow to finalise a £20m switch from Manchester City.

Robinho believes that Balotelli will improve a Rossoneri team that have revived their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League following a disastrous start.

"Balotelli is a great player and will come to help the team," said Robinho. "We are happy and the locker room awaits him with open arms.

"We hope he can have a great season here at Milan."

Balotelli, 22, has scored one goal in 14 Premier League appearances this season.
