Mario Balotelli drops out of the Manchester City squad to face Queens Park Rangers ahead of his transfer to AC Milan.

AC Milan-bound Mario Balotelli has not travelled with the Manchester City squad for their Premier League fixture against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road this evening.

The 22-year-old had arrived in London with his teammates yesterday, despite rumours that he was close to sealing a switch to Milan.

However, earlier today Milan confirmed that they have now reached an agreement with City over a transfer fee, with a medical penned in for tomorrow morning.

As a result, the Italian striker has dropped out of the Man City party that has just arrived at QPR's home ground to prevent him from suffering an injury ahead of his move to the San Siro.
