Real Madrid are reportedly planning to sell defender Pepe at the end of the season in the hope of recouping a transfer fee before his contract expires.
According to Fichajes.net, Los Blancos are plotting a significant overhaul of their squad after letting the likes of Angel di Maria, Alvaro Morata and Xabi Alonso depart this summer.
It is thought that the club's hierarchy are happier offloading the Portuguese international after this campaign rather than lose him for nothing in 2016, when the 31-year-old's current deal runs out.
Pepe's availability may alert Manchester City, who were rumoured to be pondering a move during the last transfer window before they turned their attentions to Eliaquim Mangala.
The Blues were reported to have had a £25m bid turned down by Real, but may reignite their interest if the asking price is lower.
Real are currently 14th in La Liga having won just one of their first three games this season.
