Rangers and Roma have both reportedly failed with loan moves for Manchester City attacker Phil Foden.
The 19-year-old scored seven times in 26 appearances for City during the 2018-19 campaign, while he has already made two outings for the Citizens in the early stages of the new season.
According to The Mirror, both Rangers and Roma made loan moves for the Englishman ahead of the closing of the European transfer window on September 2.
However, the report claims that City head coach Pep Guardiola turned down the interest as he views Foden as a key player for the club during the 2019-20 season.
The teenager has been an unused substitute in each of his team's last three Premier League matches, including the 4-0 home win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.
A number of Premier League clubs are also believed to have tried to sign Foden before the English transfer window closed towards the start of last month.
