Manchester City centre-back Eliaquim Mangala is reportedly on the verge of returning to Valencia.
The 28-year-old joined City from Porto in the summer of 2014, signing a five-year deal at the Etihad Stadium.
Mangala was a regular during his first two seasons with the club but has struggled for opportunities since, spending time out on loan with Valencia and Everton.
The Frenchman spent the entirety of the 2016-17 campaign on loan with Los Che, making 34 appearances in all competitions for the former Spanish champions.
According to Goal.com, Mangala is nearing another loan move to the Mestalla before potentially joining the club on a free transfer at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
The defender has not played a competitive match since February 2018 after picking up a serious knee injury in just his second appearance for Everton.
