AC Milan have joined Valencia in the race to sign Manchester City centre-back Eliaquim Mangala, according to reports.
Despite the Citizens paying over £30m for the defender's services when they signed him from Porto two years ago, he is not part of coach Pep Guardiola's plans and has been left out of their Champions League squad.
According to the Daily Star, Milan are hopeful that a one-year loan offer with the option to buy for £18m will be enough to tempt the France international to San Siro.
Valencia, meanwhile, are said to be interested in buying the 25-year-old outright if Arsenal's reported £30m deal for Shkodran Mustafi is completed.
