Manchester City defender Kolo Toure is a reported transfer target of Italian club Lazio.

Italian side Lazio are reportedly keen to sign Manchester City defender Kolo Toure before the transfer window closes next Friday night.

The Ivorian has fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium, with the likes of Vincent Kompany, Joleon Lescott and Stefan Savic often preferred at centre-back.

Reports of a heated row with manager Roberto Mancini after last weekend's Community Shield furthered speculation that his days with the Premier League champions are numbered.

The 31-year-old currently has 12 months remaining on his City contract.

As a result, Lazio believe that they cant tempt the former Arsenal player to Serie A for a fee in the region of £5m, according to Corriere Dello Sport.

Toure joined City from the Gunners in 2009.
