Manchester City will have to pay £40m if they want to sign Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin De Bruyne this summer, according to reports.
The Belgian has been in fine form for the Bundesliga side this season, and he has also reportedly caught the eye of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
The Daily Mail claims that City are preparing a bid for the 23-year-old at the end of the season, as they attempt to inject some fresh blood into their ageing squad, but the player's agent, Patrick de Koster, has said that only a fee of around £40m will secure his signature.
Wolfsburg, who signed De Bruyne last year, had hopes of keeping him next season but are reportedly resigned to losing him for a mega fee this summer.
De Bruyne has scored nine goals in the Bundesliga this season.
