Manchester City launch bid to sign Saido Berahino?

A report suggests that Manchester City are ready to attempt to secure the signature of West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino to bolster their attacking options.

Manchester City are preparing to launch a bid to sign West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino, according to a report.

Last season, the 21-year-old caught the attention of top teams in the Premier League with his performances for the Baggies as he notched 14 goals.

Tottenham Hotspur were said to be interested in the England Under-21 international, but City are ready to move for Berahino to beat Spurs to his signature.

Tony Pulis's men will demand a fee in the region of £25m for the forward, but the Citizens are negotiating with the Baggies in an attempt to secure a deal for a lower price, reports The People.

City and West Brom face off in their Premier League opener on August 10.
