Joao Cancelo's agent Jorge Mendes has reportedly been in contact with Barcelona to discuss a possible switch to Camp Nou for his client during the upcoming transfer window.
The Portugal international surprisingly left Manchester City in January, moving to Bayern Munich on loan for the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign.
The 28-year-old has been a regular during his time at Allianz Arena, featuring on 18 occasions in all competitions, contributing one goal and five assists in the process.
Bayern have the option to sign the right-back on a permanent basis this summer for around £61m, but it is understood that he will be returning to the Etihad Stadium.
Cancelo is unlikely to be brought back into the picture at Man City next season, though, with his relationship with head coach Pep Guardiola believed to have become strained.

Barcelona have recently been credited with an interest in Cancelo, as signing a right-back has become a priority for the Catalan outfit during the summer window.
According to Sport, Mendes was in Barcelona last week and met with the La Liga leaders to discuss a move for his client Cancelo at the end of the season.
The report claims that the Portuguese could join the Catalan side on loan for the 2023-24 campaign, with the deal including a purchase option in the summer of 2024.
Barcelona head coach Xavi is said to be a huge admirer of Cancelo, viewing him as the ideal player to help the club in their bid to return to former glories.

Ronald Araujo, Jules Kounde and Sergi Roberto have all been used as right-backs for Barcelona during the 2022-23 campaign, but Xavi is said to want a specialist in that area of the field.
Sergino Dest is set to return to Camp Nou this summer following a loan spell at AC Milan, but the United States international is not believed to be in Barcelona's plans moving forward.
Dest's agent has claimed that three Premier League clubs are interested in signing the 22-year-old on a permanent basis during the summer market.
Cancelo made the move to Man City from Juventus in 2019, and he has represented the Citizens on 154 occasions in all competitions, scoring nine goals and registering 22 assists.
The defender still has a long-term deal with the English champions, meanwhile, with his current contract due to run until the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
