Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini: 'I never fear losing my job'

Manuel Pellegrini insists that he does not "fear" losing his job as Manchester City manager, despite dropping nine points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that he is "not concerned" about possibly losing his job after his side suffered defeat to Crystal Palace on Monday evening.

The chances of City retaining the Premier League title took a massive hit when they succumbed to a 2-1 loss at Selhurst Park.

The North-West outfit are now nine points adrift of leaders Chelsea, who have a game in hand.

"I'm not concerned about my job - that is one thing I am never concerned with," Pellegrini told reporters. "I never have fear about it, I do my work, I'm very happy. The team maybe have a difficult season but never worry about me."

City, who have now dropped to fourth in the standings, have been linked to Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti and Diego Simeone throughout the season.
