Manchester City have won their first game of pre-season at the third attempt with a 2-0 victory over Besiktas in Austria.
The Premier League champions, who fielded a strong team that included Carlos Tevez, Sergio Aguero and both Toure brothers, took the lead right on half time thanks to Aguero's strike.
Their lead was doubled in spectacluar style 10 minutes after the break as Vincent Kompany capped a run from defence with a delightful chip over the goalkeeper.
Veli Kavlak nearly found a way through for the hosts with an hour played but his effort came back off the woodwork.
