Manchester City move to second in Group Two of the NextGen Series after securing a 1-1 draw against Fenerbahce in Istanbul.

Manchester City's Under-19s have failed to secure a double victory over Fenerbahce in the NextGen Series following a 1-1 draw in Istanbul.

The away side were heading into the clash having previously defeated the Turkish outfit 3-1 on home turf last month.

The first half didn't provide much attacking threat from either side as it took until the fourth minute of the second half for the deadlock to be broken.

City's Denis Suarez, who shone in the first meeting between the two teams, grabbed the lead for the away team but just under 20 minutes later, City defender Greg Leigh hit the ball into his own net to equal the scoreline.

Neither side could clinch a winner, which moves the Premier League side to second place in Group Two in the competition.
