Manuel Pellegrini dismisses bust-up reports

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini dismisses reports that a bust-up took place at half time in their Premier League match at Liverpool.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that there was "no problem" during half time of their Premier League fixture with Liverpool earlier this month.

Reports suggested that a bust-up had taken place between Vincent Kompany and Fernandinho, but despite the Brazilian midfielder admitting that words had been exchanged between the two, Pellegrini has claimed that the incident is no longer important.

The 61-year-old told reporters: "Inside the dressing room, we didn't have any problem.

"There was no bust-up, and it is not important to talk about something that happened 20 years ago."

City couldclose the gap on leaders Chelsea to two points when they play Burnley on Saturday evening.
