Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini feels that his side deserved a share of the spoils against Liverpool this afternoon.
Mancini's team twice trailed the Reds, only to be presented with two goals by their hosts to leave Anfield with a 2-2 draw.
Reflecting on the match, Mancini has insisted that the "correct result" was recorded.
"I think that a draw is a correct result," he told BBC Sport. "We didn't deserve to lose because in the first 30 minutes we played well and we had chances to score.
"We are not 100% for many reasons, it is important we didn't lose this game. We got a gift from Liverpool, the second goal was a gift."
The boss went on to reveal that he is hoping to add his squad before the transfer window closes on Friday night.
