A report claims that Juventus have made Pep Guardiola their top choice of successor to Massimiliano Allegri should their current boss step aside in the summer.

Juventus may reportedly go after Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola if Massimiliano Allegri steps down at the end of the season.

Allegri has indicated that he will stay on at the Allianz Stadium for at least another year after guiding the club to five successive Serie A titles during his time at the helm.

However, Tuttosport reports that an official decision is unlikely to be made until the end of the season as that is when talks with chairman Andrea Agnelli have been planned for.

The same report suggests that, if Allegri does decide to walk away, Guardiola is Juve's top choice of successor following his work at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Man City, where he is on course for back-to-back league titles.

Another alternative is believed to be Didier Deschamps, who guided France to 2018 World Cup success and has previous experience of playing for the Bianconeri between 1995 and 1999.
