Fireworks go off inside inside Mario Balotelli's house

Mario Balotelli escapes unhurt from his house after fireworks reportedly go off in the middle of the night.

Mario Balotelli has escaped unhurt from his house after fireworks reportedly went off at around midnight yesterday.

Fire crews were called to the Italian forward's house in Mottram St Andrew, near Macclesfield, early on Saturday morning.

They tackled a blaze in a first floor bathroom as police also arrived shortly after.

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed an investigation had been launched and it is believed that the fire was caused by a firework. He said: "It is not being treated as suspicious."
