Manchester City will attempt to record their second win in Group D when they travel to Russia to face CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The two sides have both beaten Viktoria Plzen and lost to Bayern Munich in their respective matches thus far, leaving the pair joint-second in the group on three points.
This is the first time that City have travelled to Russia in European competition, and they have struggled on the road in Europe – losing five of their six away matches in their previous two Champions League campaigns.
CSKA, however, have previous history with English opposition having faced Manchester United in the 2009-10 campaign. They lost 1-0 at home in October 2009, but claimed a point in a 3-3 draw two weeks later.
The Russian outfit are 13 matches into their domestic season and have struggled thus far, with just 21 points leaving them in sixth position. Meanwhile, they have won just one of their last seven matches in all competitions (the 3-2 win over Plzen last time out).
City, meanwhile, have found some form in the Premier League in recent weeks with Saturday's 3-1 win over West Ham United moving them into fourth position in the table. However, they have struggled on the road this season.
The hosts have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the match and are expected to continue with one striker in attack. Former Manchester United midfielder Zoran Tosic should also start, with the much-coveted Keisuke Honda providing support from an attacking midfield position.
City, meanwhile, are expected to welcome right-back Pablo Zabaleta back into the fold. Boss Manuel Pellegrini has problems in defence, however, and could select Micah Richards at centre-back ahead of England defender Joleon Lescott.
Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo are also both expected to keep their places in the team, which means that the likes of James Milner, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic will have to be content with places on the bench.
