Mehdi Benatia tips Roma to beat Manchester City

Former Roma defender Mehdi Benatia believes that the Italian side will make it through to the last 16 of the Champions League as they are "stronger" than Manchester City.

Bayern Munich defender Mehdi Benatia has claimed that Roma will beat Manchester City in their Champions League clash.

The two teams play each other next week in their last group match to decide who will go through to the knockout stages.

"Roma are stronger than Manchester City," Benatia told Il Processo del Lunedi.

"If they put in the same performance as against Inter last night, then they can qualify."

Roma will qualify for the last 16 with a win or a goalless draw, while a victory for City or a score draw will ensure that they go through.
