Frank Lampard has described Manchester City teammate Sergio Aguero as "something incredible" following his heroics in last night's dramatic 3-2 win over Bayern Munich.
The Citizens kept alive their hopes of reaching the last 16 of the Champions League, as Aguero scored twice in the final five minutes to stun 10-man Bayern and complete his hat-trick.
"It was a special night in the end," Lampard told Sky Sports News. "He is something incredible. When he runs through you expect him to score he is at the top of his game and one of the top strikers in the world.
"We kept believing even though the clock was ticking it is difficult, but I did feel there were chances in it for us, especially the fact they were down to 10 men and there were spaces at the back and thank god we have got that man up front."
Mehdi Benatia was sent off on 20 minutes for hauling down Aguero inside the box, allowing the Argentine to open the scoring from the penalty spot.
However, Pep Guardiola's side looked like defying their numerical disadvantage after two goals from Xabi Alonso and Robert Lewandowski flipped the game on its head shortly before half time.
Victory saw City move second in Group E, level on points with third-placed Roma - who they face in Italy next month - and CSKA Moscow in fourth.
