Rennes snatch the points with away win at Lyon

Rennes shock Lyon as Medhi Zeffane scores a second-half winner to give them a 2-1 win in Ligue 1.

Lyon have lost for the first time this season after they went down to a surprise 2-1 home defeat to Rennes.

The visitors made a strong start as Pedro Henrique put them ahead in the eighth minute after he was found by Medhi Zeffane.

Lyon responded quickly though, as Nabil Fekir equalised four minutes later, and the striker went close to his second when he shot marginally wide.

The home crowd started to lose patience as their team failed to take the lead, and they were hit on the break as Zeffane put Rennes back ahead.

Lyon continued to push hard, but they failed to get back on level terms and suffered defeat.
