Newcastle United have reportedly set their sights on Watford winger Ismaila Sarr, heading into the January transfer window.
Now under the ownership of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, the Magpies are said to be gearing up for a major overhaul after the turn of the year, with the new hierarchy identifying key areas in need of improvement for the second half of the campaign.
According to the Daily Mail, the St. James' Park outfit have now set their sights on the Senegalese winger as a prime target, although the Hornets are said to be unlikely to consider a deal in January.
The 23-year-old has caught eyes so far this season, having netted four goals in the opening nine Premier League games.
Such a start has seen Sarr take his tally to 23 goals alongside 16 assists in 79 appearances for the club, after he helped them to promotion from the Championship last term with 13 league goals and 10 assists.
The Senegalese international, who has earned 34 caps, drew reported interest from Liverpool following Watford's relegation at the end of the 2019-20 season, and the newly wealthy Magpies are now tipped as his next destination.
