Liverpool are reportedly unlikely to sign Florian Neuhaus during this summer's transfer window despite Jurgen Klopp's interest in the Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder.
The Reds are determined to sign a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum in the current market, and Neuhaus has been linked with a possible move to Anfield over the last few weeks.
However, according to SPORT1 journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Germany international is expected to remain with Monchengladbach for the coming season.
Plettenberg claims that a move for the 24-year-old could occur next year, but the Merseyside giants would, at that point, likely face competition from Bayern Munich.
Neuhaus was in impressive form for his Bundesliga club during the 2020-21 campaign, contributing eight goals and eight assists in 45 appearances in all competitions.
The midfielder's current deal at Borussia-Park is due to run until the summer of 2024.
