Liverpool 'fear being priced out of any more summer signings'

Liverpool fear that they will not be able to make any more major signings this summer, according to a report.

Liverpool are reportedly fearful that they will not be able to make any more major signings during this summer's transfer window.

The Reds have already brought in Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig, but the club are believed to be keen to add another central midfielder and an attacker ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

Leicester City's Youri Tielemans, Inter Milan's Nico Barella, Atletico Madrid's Saul Niguez and Borussia Monchengladbach's Florian Neuhaus have also been linked with moves to Anfield in recent weeks.

However, according to The Athletic, the Premier League giants will struggle to afford any of their targets, having thus far been unable to shift their valuable fringe players.

The report claims that Marko Grujic, Harry Wilson, Nat Phillips, Neco Williams, Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri are all available for transfer this summer, but the club are struggling to offload them.

Brighton & Hove Albion's Yves Bissouma and Lille's Renato Sanches are also believed to be potential midfield targets for the Merseyside giants, who have lost Georginio Wijnaldum on a free transfer this summer.
