Liverpool could reportedly sign Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini during this summer's transfer window.

Jose Mourinho's arrival at Roma could reportedly see Lorenzo Pellegrini leave the Italian giants during this summer's transfer window.

The 24-year-old has been in impressive form for his Serie A club this term, scoring nine times and contributing eight assists in 43 appearances in all competitions.

Pellegrini's contract in Rome is due to expire next June, though, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding the midfielder's future in recent months.

According to The Mirror, Mourinho is keen to overhaul the Roma midfield next term and could be prepared to sanction Pellegrini's exit in the upcoming market.

The report claims that Liverpool are long-term admirers of the Italy international and may have the chance to sign him this summer if he does not pen a fresh contract with his current club.

Pellegrini has netted five times and registered six assists in 31 Serie A outings this term.
