Liverpool are reportedly ready to offer Newcastle United Andy Carroll in exchange for Hatem Ben Arfa this summer.
Carroll is currently on loan at West Ham United until the end of the Premier League season, but Reds boss Brendan Rodgers will suggest the 24-year-old to the striker's former club in a bid to land Ben Arfa according to The Guardian.
The player does not feature in Rodgers's long-term strategy and with Ben Arfa likely to command a sizeable fee, the Northern Irishman is looking to use the England striker as a bargaining chip to land the winger.
Carroll signed for Liverpool from his boyhood club for £35m in January 2011.
