Liverpool target Marcel Schmelzer move?

Liverpool will reportedly make a move for Borussia Dortmund defender Marcel Schmelzer during the summer.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly ready to launch a bid for Borussia Dortmund left-back Marcel Schmelzer.

The Merseyside club have used several players in the position since the start of the season, but Rodgers is keen to strengthen the area ahead of the next campaign.

According to Bild, the Anfield boss has identified the 26-year-old, who has 16 international caps for Germany, as his number one target.

Schmelzer, who has spent the last four weeks on the sidelines with a groin injury, has made 22 appearances for Dortmund this season.
