Liverpool are reportedly prepared to wait until the summer to make another move for Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker Alex Teixeira.
The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield this month, and has also expressed his desire to join Jurgen Klopp's side.
However, the two clubs have been wrangling over a fee, with Liverpool understood to have made bids of around £24m and £28m, while Shakhtar are holding out for closer to £40m.
Sky Sports News reports that Teixeira has a £53m release clause in his contract and are unwilling to let him go for anything below their asking price.
Klopp has already suggested that the Reds will not be doing any business on deadline day, although they are expected to rekindle their interest in the Brazilian this summer.
