Liverpool plot Ricardo Quaresma swoop?

Reports claim that Liverpool will attempt to sign Portugal international Ricardo Quaresma from Besiktas in January.

Portuguese winger Ricardo Quaresma has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.

The Irish boss is believed to have made a bid to sign the 28-year-old during the summer transfer window, only to withdraw his interest when quoted a £7m asking price from his club Besiktas.

However, the attacker has since fallen out with president Fikret Orman and has been made to train with the youth team.

With that in mind, Rodgers now believes that he will be able to land his target for a fraction of the original fee that was demanded, according to the Metro.

Quaresma, who had a spell with Chelsea in 2010, has 12 months remaining on his contract with his Turkish employers.
