Barcelona have reportedly received a bid from Liverpool for the services of Thomas Vermaelen.
It was claimed yesterday that the Belgium international was one of five defenders that the Catalan outfit had put up for sale.
According to Sport, news of Vermaelen's availability has captured the attention of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
The report adds that the Merseysiders have offered to pay around £7.5m for the 30-year-old.
Vermaelen arrived at Camp Nou from Arsenal in 2014, but injuries have limited him to just 21 appearances in all competitions.
