Liverpool are reportedly giving consideration to ending Ben Woodburn's loan period at Championship side Sheffield United.

Liverpool are reportedly considering a recall for forward Ben Woodburn, who is currently out on loan at Sheffield United.

The Blades won a fiercely-contested race to secure Woodburn's services for the season, and the Wales international initially spent time in the team.

However, the 19-year-old has made just one outing in the Championship since September 19, and according to Goal.com, it could lead to Liverpool opting to bring the prospect back to Anfield.

Liverpool have already had Woodburn back at the club in order to take part in an Under-23s fixture to provide him with some much-needed game time.

The report says that Sheffield United are happy with Woodburn - despite providing the wideman with just 156 minutes of football at the second tier - but are currently unable to draft him into the team due to the form of other players.

The Yorkshire side currently sit in fourth place in the table, just three points adrift of leaders Norwich City.
