Liverpool consider Giuseppe Rossi swoop?

Liverpool are reportedly considering a January move for Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi.

The former Manchester United forward is expected to be sidelined for another couple of months as he recovers from a knee ligament problem. However, the Italian's injury woes could allow the Merseysiders to land him for a reduced fee, according to The People.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers recently claimed that he was looking to bring players into the club during the upcoming transfer window.

Rossi scored four goals in 14 appearances at Old Trafford before he left for Spain in 2007.
