Steven Gerrard is reportedly attempting to persuade young Liverpool prospect Ovie Ejaria to join him on loan at Rangers.
The 20-year-old spent some of last season at Championship side Sunderland, featuring 11 times for the Black Cats in the second half of their relegation campaign.
Liverpool are open to the prospect of a further loan spell for the central midfielder, with The Sun reporting that Rangers are the frontrunners to land the hot property.
Ejaria could sign on the dotted line as early as next week, it is claimed, as the Scottish outfit want him fully settled before their Europa League qualifiers begin next month.
Gerrard, who has spent time in the South of France watching players in the Toulon Tournament, is also said to have his eyes on a couple of other Liverpool starlets in Ryan Kent and Harry Wilson.
