Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has urged Raheem Sterling's agent to stop "feeding stories" to the press about his client's contract situation.
Reports emerged overnight claiming that the 19-year-old is unsure about signing an improved deal at Anfield.
The claims have sparked speculation that the Reds could struggle to keep hold of the England international, who has been linked to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
This morning on Twitter, Carragher wrote: "Message to Raheem Sterling agent, shut up feeding stories about his contract."
The teenager, who has two years remaining on his current deal, signed to Liverpool's youth academy from Queens Park Rangers back in 2010 before making his senior debut in 2012.
