Liverpool's Mario Balotelli 'arrives for AC Milan medical ahead of loan move'

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has reportedly touched down in Italy to undergo a medical ahead of a proposed loan return to AC Milan.

The 25-year-old left Milan this time last year to move to Anfield, but the forward failed to make an impact and has dropped down the pecking order.

Reds manager Brendan Rodgers has made it clear that Balotelli is not in his immediate plans as the striker has not been included in the squad for any of the club's three Premier League fixtures of the season.

On Monday, reports emerged claiming that a loan deal has been struck, and now Balotelli has arrived at the Serie A club to have a medical, according to Sky Sports News.

Balotelli scored just one goal in the Premier League last season.
