Agent: 'Fabio Borini wanted by many clubs'

Fabio Borini's agent says that the Liverpool striker "wants to play" and is being followed by a number of clubs.

The agent of Liverpool striker Fabio Borini has claimed that there are 'many clubs' who are interested in signing his client.

Borini has struggled for playing time at Anfield and he made just three starts in the Premier League last season.

He is widely expected to leave the Reds this summer and his representative Marco de Marchi has said that he is not short of options if a transfer does materialise.

"He still has a year on his contract with Liverpool," De Marchi told Sport Italia. "He wasn't given the opportunity to play this year, and we're evaluating what would be the best project for Fabio.

"He wants to play, to show what he can do, as he has done in recent years, such as at Sunderland.

"The lad is being followed by many European clubs, including Italian ones. We're still evaluating, because a lot of clubs changed their manager and must wait for directives from their coach. I'd say whoever signs Fabio it would be a good deal."

Borini has scored three goals for Liverpool since joining the club from Roma in July 2012.
