Team News: Jurgen Klopp names strong Liverpool XI for Huddersfield Town trip

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp names a strong starting lineup for Wednesday's trip to Huddersfield Town.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has selected a strong starting lineup for Wednesday's trip to Huddersfield Town.

The Merseyside giants have won their previous three pre-season friendlies without conceding a goal and the German will be confident of a fourth success at the John Smith's Stadium.

New signings Loris Karius, Marko Grujic and Sadio Mane all feature from the start, as do Brazilian duo Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino.

Dejan Lovren and Alberto Moreno will play a part in defence while Lucas Leiva is selected despite reports linking him with a move away from Anfield.

Huddersfield Town: Coleman; Smith, Hudson, Lowe, Schindler; Lolley, Hogg, Mooy, Van la Parra, Payne; Kachunga
Subs: Coddington, Davidson, Whitehead, Scannell, Billing, Bunn, Cranie, Dempsey, Stankovic, Hefele, Williams, Booty, Pyke

Liverpool: Karius; Randall, Lovren, Moreno; Lucas, Stewart, Ejaria, Grujic; Mane, Coutinho, Firmino
Subs: George, Ings, Kent, Wisdom, Markovic, Woodburn, Alexander-Arnold
