Michael Owen backs Liverpool against Manchester City

Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen believes that the Reds will win against Manchester City on Sunday.

Former England international striker Michael Owen has backed his former club Liverpool to win their Premier League clash against Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday.

Brendan Rodgers's side, who are currently two points clear at the top of the league table with 74 points from 33 matches, have dropped just five points at home all season.

"I'd probably say Liverpool will win," The Mirror quotes him as saying.

"They are blowing everyone away at home this season, there's momentum there."

City are four points behind Liverpool in third place but have two games in hand.
