Watford manager Walter Mazzarri backs Liverpool to win the Premier League title following his side's 6-1 defeat to the Reds at Anfield.

Watford manager Walter Mazzarri has backed Liverpool to win the Premier League title this season.

Mazzarri saw his side swept away by the Reds at Anfield this afternoon as Jurgen Klopp's men climbed to the top of the Premier League table with a 6-1 victory.

Watford have already faced Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United this term, but Mazzarri believes that Liverpool are the most impressive of the lot.

"From the teams we've played there's no doubt it's the team I'm most impressed with," he told reporters.

"If they continue like this they are number one in my list for winning the Premier League. This is only from the teams I've played against."

The defeat leaves Watford eighth in the table and with the joint worst defence outside the bottom four.
