Roberto Martinez: 'Liverpool have not replaced Luis Suarez'

Roberto Martinez believes that there is a big difference to Liverpool's attack following the exit of Luis Suarez.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has claimed that Liverpool have failed to replace Luis Suarez.

The Uruguayan scored 31 goals for the Reds last season before completing a £75m move to Barcelona in July.

Liverpool have struggled in his absence and have lost three of their opening six Premier League matches.

"Well, it is easy to say. Obviously Luis Suarez was a player on form," The Express quotes Martinez as saying.

"The difference back then was everyone knew what Liverpool was: very dynamic and any time you left yourself two versus one against Suarez you were in trouble.

"That is not there anymore and that is a big difference. He was on form and was a big player at the club. I am sure that a player will emerge in the new squad."

Martinez's Everton side came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Liverpool in their league match on Saturday.
