Jurgen Klopp aims for focus ahead of Bournemouth clash

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists that his side will be focusing on their own fixtures despite Chelsea's position at the top of the Premier League table.

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has insisted that his side need to focus on their own fixtures after Chelsea extended their lead at the top of the Premier League having beaten Manchester City at the Etihad this weekend.

The Reds face Bournemouth in Sunday's early kickoff, and Klopp has called on his men to focus on themselves despite what is being billed in some parts as a must-win fixture away against the Cherries.

"It is [the result] a lot more important than before yesterday's game! But we don't watch the table every day and think 'they've done that so we must do that'," Klopp told Sky Sports News ahead of the clash at the Vitality Stadium.

"We have no influence on the other games so we take it as it is. We play football and collect as many points as we can."

Liverpool currently find themselves in third position in the Premier League standings with 30 points from 13 games.
