Massimiliano Allegri: Mario Balotelli could "lose his way"

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri thinks that Mario Balotelli could "lose his way" at Liverpool if he does not "make sacrifices" for the Reds.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has called for Mario Balotelli to "make sacrifices" at Liverpool or risk ruining his career at Anfield.

Allegri worked with Balotelli at AC Milan, and the Juve boss feels that his former player has developed a personality off the pitch that makes more headlines than his footballing exploits.

Tuttosport quotes Allegri as saying: "I worked with him and he had a good season with me. Mario has built a persona outside of football that is getting more attention than what he does on the pitch.

"He has excellent qualities, but he has to show them off. He can only help himself by making sacrifices, otherwise he'll lose his way.

"Would I like to have Balotelli in my team again? I always like to have talented players, but he needs to get back to being important for Liverpool."

Balotelli has yet to score in the Premier League since his £16m switch from AC Milan in August.
