Liverpool's Daniel Agger 'expected to be fit for Manchester City clash'

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger is reportedly expected to be fit for this Sunday's vital Premier League clash against Manchester City.

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger is reportedly in contention to return to the squad for Sunday's crucial Premier League clash against Manchester City.

The Dane was ruled out of the team for last weekend's 2-1 victory over West Ham United after picking up a knock to his knee.

However, the centre-back is expected to be included in Brendan Rodgers's squad at Anfield after returning to training today, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Mamadou Sakho made his first start since December after replacing Agger at Upton Park last Sunday.
