Tuesday's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup: Thiago Alcantara, David Brooks, Jadon Sancho

Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Liverpool on Tuesday, August 25.

The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Liverpool eye possible reinforcements.

Jurgen Klopp's champions have not been particularly busy during recent windows, but that has not stopped the rumour mill from linking them with additions.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Anfield.

Tuesday morning's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup:

Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara 'certain to join Liverpool'

Thiago Alcantara is reportedly "certain" to join Liverpool after helping Bayern Munich to Champions League glory.

The Spanish midfielder was one of the stars of the show as Bayern beat Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in Sunday's final to seal a treble.

Despite being an integral part of Bayern's first team this season, the German giants have opened the door for Thiago to move on this summer.

German publication Der Spiegel claims that Liverpool remain the strong favourites to sign the 29-year-old, who is into the final season of his contract.

Bayern head coach Hansi Flick joked after the PSG match that Thiago wanted to stay at the Allianz Arena, but the report indicates that FCB have no intention of standing in his way.

However, the Reds must first agree to match Bayern's full £30m asking price for the holding midfielder.

No bids yet for Manchester United target David Brooks?

Manchester United are reportedly among a number of Premier League clubs who are yet to make a bid for Bournemouth winger David Brooks.

Despite missing the majority of the last campaign through injury, speculation persists over a potential big-money switch for the Wales international this summer.

At a time when they are considering alternatives to Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho, United are said to be contemplating an approach for Brooks.

However, according to Sky Sports News, Bournemouth are yet to receive a single formal offer for their most prized asset.

Liverpool, Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are also said to be monitoring the situation ahead of meeting Bournemouth's alleged £35m valuation.

Brook has contributed eight goals from 39 Premier League appearances for the Cherries since 2018.
