Liverpool have come from behind to earn a 4-3 victory over Crystal Palace in Saturday's Premier League clash at Anfield.

Palace held a half-time advantage thanks to Andros Townsend's opener, but Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino put Liverpool in front shortly after the restart.

James Tomkins got Palace back on level terms, but late efforts from Salah and Sadio Mane put the game beyond the visitors' reach before Max Meyer's late consolation.

Find out how all of the action unfolded on Merseyside courtesy of Sports Mole's minute-by-minute updates below.

Hello and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of the match in the Premier League between Liverpool and Crystal Palace. The Merseyside giants head into the game looking to extend their lead at the top of the standings, but Palace have had success against their hosts in recent years.

LATEST! Palace fans may be keen for an update from Molineux, so here it is! Wolverhampton Wanderers currently lead Leicester City by a 3-2 scoreline. The visitors fought back from 2-0 behind, but Diogo Jota has not long put Wolves back in front. There is just over 15 minutes plus added-on time remaining in the West Midlands.

Without further ado, let's take a look at the two starting lineups, beginning with the home side...

LIVERPOOL XI: Alisson; Milner, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Keita; Mane, Salah, Firmino

LIVERPOOL SUBSTITUTES: Mignolet, Moreno, Camacho, Lallana, Shaqiri, Origi, Sturridge

CRYSTAL PALACE XI: Speroni; Wan-Bissaka, Tomkins, Sakho, Van Aanholt; Milivojevic, Kouyate, McArthur, Townsend, Zaha, Ayew

CRYSTAL PALACE SUBSTITUTES: Tupper, Kelly, Dann, Schlupp, Meyer, Wickham, Benteke

Let's take a look at the Liverpool starting lineup as Jurgen Klopp makes a total of three changes to his starting lineup. The most notable alteration sees James Milner beginning the game at right-back, with Trent Alexander-Arnold being left out of the squad due to injury.

Georginio Wijnaldum also drops out of the team through injury, and it has resulted in Naby Keita being given another chance from the starting lineup. The third switch sees Joel Matip being preferred to Fabinho in the centre of defence, with the Brazilian taking the place of Xherdan Shaqiri who only features among the replacements.

That means that Liverpool will begin the game in a straightforward 4-3-3 formation with Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino featuring furthest forward. We would expect Firmino to play down the centre, with Salah moving back out wide.

Injuries to Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren mean that Liverpool have no central defenders on the bench, but four attack-minded players have been selected including Adam Lallana.

Roy Hodgson has made just one change to his starting lineup and it's an enforced one due to injuries to Vicente Guaita and Wayne Hennessey. It means that Julian Speroni has been brought into the team for his first appearance since December 2017.

The rest of the side is as expected with Palace likely to line up in a 4-3-3 with Jordan Ayew leading the line with Andros Townsend and Wilfried Zaha either side.

Mamadou Sakho lines up against his former side, but Christian Benteke stays on the bench after recently recovering from injury. Connor Wickham will also hope to get on the pitch in the second half.

RESULT! The full-time whistle has gone at Molineux and Wolves have recorded a thrilling 4-3 triumph over Leicester! Wes Morgan had equalised for the Foxes, but Jota bagged his hat-trick in the third minute of added-on time!

That late winner has taken Wolves up to eighth in the Premier League table, one point ahead of Leicester.

Palace sit nine points adrift of the ninth-placed Foxes, which leaves the Eagles in need of a positive result this afternoon.

Speroni has played third fiddle all season but today, the club legend gets a rare outing for the first team and at Anfield of all places.

Klopp's side head into this game having put together a 31-match unbeaten streak in the top flight. It's their joint-longest unbeaten run in league games since 1980.

Liverpool possess a hugely impressive record at Anfield in the Premier League, but they have not recorded seven successive top-flight victories at their home ground since January 2014. That could change today.`

Palace are not known for their goals, and that could continue today. Liverpool have conceded just four goals in their last 16 league games at Anfield.

Liverpool have scored in their last 14 matches in all competitions, but Klopp's side have only scored once in each of their last three outings. The German will certainly be looking for an improvement in the final third.

Palace have made the trip to Merseyside looking to equal a top-flight record of three successive wins on the road. Victories have recently been recorded at Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

It has also gone under the radar that Palace have kept the most shutouts outside of the top four. The Eagles have recorded eight clean sheets in the Premier League this season.

Hodgson is a former Liverpool boss, but he has never suffered defeat when managing a visiting side at Anfield in the Premier League. One win and three draws have been registered.

PREDICTION! Liverpool have offered no signs that their recent defeat to City will derail their season, and their home record will make them huge favourites to pick up another win this weekend. We cannot see Crystal Palace getting anything from the game and see the home side prevailing by a 2-0 scoreline.

HEAD TO HEAD! Today's match represents just the 54th competitive meeting between the two sides, with Liverpool registering 28 wins in comparison to 14 victories for Palace.

As many as 13 matches have taken place since October 2013 and although Liverpool have recorded eight successes, Palace have still managed to prevail on four occasions.

Palace were also the last visiting team to defeat Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League. That match took place back in April 2017 with Benteke scoring twice against his old club to give the Eagles a famous 2-1 win.

Manchester United are also playing host to Brighton & Hove Albion this afternoon and you can keep up-to-date with that game by clicking here.

It's time for the two teams to start making their way out at Anfield. There is a mix of expectation, excitement and tension in the air, and that usually leads to a competitive match.

A reminder of the two starting lineups...

LIVERPOOL XI: Alisson; Milner, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Keita; Mane, Salah, Firmino

CRYSTAL PALACE XI: Speroni; Wan-Bissaka, Tomkins, Sakho, Van Aanholt; Milivojevic, Kouyate, McArthur, Townsend, Zaha, Ayew

KICKOFF:  Liverpool get us underway at Anfield.

It has been a quiet start from both sides, but Anfield is already rocking. The home side's supporters know that this is a huge game for the club with Manchester City facing Huddersfield Town tomorrow afternoon.

Liverpool have attempted a couple of driven passes through the Palace defence in an attempt to get their forward players into space but on both occasions, the visitors dealt with the danger well.

The home side win the first corner of the match on the left flank, but Salah's outswinging delivery goes through everyone and outside the area.

CHANCE!  Half a chance for Liverpool as Matip is played through on goal after the ball returns to the area, but Speroni is out well to block the defender's shot.

Liverpool are in complete control of possession, and it appears that Palace are prepared to sit deep and wait for an opening on the break.

SHOT!  After a long spell on the ball, Liverpool finally get a shot away with Firmino curling marginally over the crossbar from around 25 yards out.

Liverpool look a much stronger outfit with Fabinho sitting in front of the back four. The Brazilian is dictating play and Palace are struggling to find a solution.

The Eagles have not posed any kind of a threat going forward. Townsend and Zaha have found themselves playing in front of the full-backs.

More of the same from Liverpool who continue to spray the ball about for fun. They are not being put under any pressure whatsoever unless they enter the final third.

It is already noticeable that Speroni is trying to waste a bit of time whenever he can. Palace's gameplan is clear, but it is proving to be effective so far.

CHANCE!  Another half-chance for Liverpool. An outswinging corner finds Mane, but the winger cannot get enough pace on his free header which goes straight at Speroni.

Palace finally mount an attack, and the pace of Zaha causes a problem for Robertson. The winger's cross evades everyone, but it has reminded Liverpool that they cannot necessarily afford to be too gung-ho.

Liverpool attempt to hit straight back, but Palace are soon back in position and ready to frustrate the home side. It works as they win a free kick on the halfway line.

The Merseyside giants do well down the right before the ball is whipped into the area. Robertson and Mane are both waiting to get a volley on goal at the back post, but they get in each other's way.

CHANCE!  Liverpool are getting closer. Another outswinging corner does the trick and on this occasion, Matip sends a header wide of the far post. He probably should have done better.

CHANCE!  Liverpool are such a threat from set pieces. Another outswinger - from a free kick this time - finds Van Dijk, and the Dutchman sees his header deflected marginally off target.

GOAL!  Liverpool 0-1 Crystal Palace (Andros Townsend)

Wow. Palace hit Liverpool on the break and take the lead! Zaha is left on-one-one with Milner and gets to the byline before pulling the ball back for Townsend, who sends a low first-time effort into the net from 12 yards out.

That has certainly lowered the mood at Anfield. Liverpool know that they are in a game here. Palace are executing their tactics to perfection.

It's all Liverpool again now, but it had been before the goal. They need an equaliser sooner rather than later or else thing are going to get nervy, even at this stage.

Salah attempts to twist and turn inside the area, but the Egyptian goes down far too easily in an attempt to win a penalty. The Palace players are furious and rightly so.

YELLOW CARD!  Ayew goes into the book for a late challenge on Henderson. It's the first caution of the match.

Liverpool remain on the front foot but it would come as a surprise if they get back on level terms before the break. Palace look comfortable.

There will be two minutes of added-on time.

HALF TIME:  Liverpool 0-1 Crystal Palace

The half-time whistle goes at Anfield and Palace lead thanks to a counter-attack which was finished off by Townsend. Liverpool have made all of the running on Merseyside, but Klopp's side are in danger of losing their lengthy unbeaten home record in the Premier League.

Palace's goal came out of nowhere. Zaha was given the ball on the left flank and after getting past Milner, the pullback was delivered for Townsend to drill a low first-time effort past Alisson from 12 yards. The pair had spent most of the opening 45 minutes in defensive positions.

It's time for the two teams to start making their way back out on Merseyside. We will be back underway shortly.

KICKOFF:  Palace have taken kickoff at the start of the second half. It doesn't look like any changes have been made.

GOAL!  Liverpool 1-1 Crystal Palace (Mohamed Salah)

Wowzers! Liverpool are back on level terms within 60 seconds of the restart. A hopeful shot from Van Dijk is deflected into the path of Salah, who hooks a difficult volley inside the near post from around eight yards out.

Anfield is rocking once again and the home fans sense a moment here. The players are responding and going after a second. Palace need to stay firm.

SHOT!  The ball finds Robertson in a shooting position on the left, but the full-back drags a low effort wide of the far post.

Speroni - like in the first half - is attempting to take the sting out of the game by wasting time at every given opportunity. A yellow card cannot be too far away.

GOAL!  Liverpool 2-1 Crystal Palace (Roberto Firmino)

What a turnaround! Palace can't get out of their own area and after Keita plays the ball into Firmino, the Brazilian turns and sees a shot deflected into the far corner of Speroni's net.

Palace are all over the place at the back. Liverpool know that the openings are going to come, but they want a third goal as soon as possible. Klopp must have delivered some team-talk.

The visitors do not know whether to stick or twist right now. They are going to have to commit men forward at some point, but it's picking the right moment. Liverpool are relentless coming forward.

We move through the hour mark with Palace being unable to get out of their own half. Liverpool are defending their lead by remaining on the attack. Hodgson isn't usually one for making substitutions, but he may have to consider one.

Palace finally get forward and it leads to Keita having to make a last-ditch challenge to prevent Ayew from getting a shot on goal from the edge of the area.

Liverpool slow the pace down - maybe in need of a breather - but it leads to Palace regaining possession and winning a corner.

GOAL!  Liverpool 2-2 Crystal Palace (James Tomkins)

Palace are level! An inswinging corner is delivered to the back post and Tomkins rises above a group of players to power a header into the far corner. Alisson had no chance. Game on!

Now it's Liverpool who have decisions to make. They looked supremely confident of adding a third, but now Palace are going after a third of their own.

Klopp is getting ready to make his first change. He certainly isn't short of options. Liverpool need to up it again because everyone inside the ground is becoming frustrated.

SUBSTITUTION! Keita is the player to make way with Shaqiri being introduced into the action.

The pace of the game has slowed either side of the substitution. It's certainly playing into the hands of Palace right now.

GOAL!  Liverpool 3-2 Crystal Palace (Mohamed Salah)

What a game, but what a mistake from Speroni. Milner gets on the end of a pass to volley a cross into the box, and Speroni should deal with it. However, the stand-in goalkeeper only diverts the ball towards the net and Salah volleys home from on the line.

SUBSTITUTION! Palace make a change with Schlupp being introduced for Kouyate.

Just the 10 minutes to go now and while Liverpool want a fourth, they are being met with Palace throwing men forward in search of a third. Two more changes will soon be made by the visitors.

SUBSTITUTIONS! Here they come, with Meyer and Wickham replacing McArthur and Ayew.

YELLOW CARD!  This is naughty from Milner and could have easily led a to a red. However, the referee hands out a yellow after the Liverpool full-back dived into a challenge on Zaha.

CHANCE!  Big chance for Palace. Van Aanholt sends over an outswinging set piece which finds Schlupp at the near post, but the substitute can only angle his header wide of the far post.

Liverpool are trying to get Salah involved whenever they dispossess Palace. With the Palace full-backs bombing forward, it is leaving space for the Egyptian.

SUBSTITUTION! Fabinho has picked up an injury and it has resulted in Lallana being introduced into the action.

RED CARD!  Milner is given a second yellow card for another bad challenge on Zaha and he can have no complaints. This game is not over.

CHANCE!  Liverpool break forward after Palace fail to make the most of a free kick, and Mane decides to go it alone rather than use Salah. However, the wideman can only send a low shot from 14 yards wide of the far post.

There will be five minutes of added-on time.

GOAL!  Liverpool 4-2 Crystal Palace (Sadio Mane)

Game over. Robertson keeps the ball in on the left but Mane does the rest, with the Senegalese advancing into the penalty area before finding the far corner of the net with his right foot from 10 yards.

GOAL!  Liverpool 4-3 Crystal Palace (Max Meyer)

Palace grab a late consolation and it's a beautiful goal. A cross from the right finds Wickham and after cushioning the ball into the path of Meyer, the German sends a low shot into the net from 15 yards out.

FULL TIME:  Liverpool 4-3 Crystal Palace

The full-time whistle goes at Anfield and Liverpool have held on for a dramatic 4-3 win! The home side were pushed all the way by Palace who deserve huge amounts of credit, but Klopp's side are full value for their victory. They now sit seven points clear of Manchester City, who face Huddersfield Town on Sunday.

That will be all from Sports Mole for this match. Thank you for joining us this afternoon and we hope that you can stick around for the game involving Arsenal and Chelsea.
