Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Watford

Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Watford.

Premier League leaders Liverpool will expect to continue their remarkable unbeaten run against bottom-of-the-league Watford when the pair meet at Anfield on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp's side have not lost in 16 Premier League games so far this term, winning 15, and are on an 18-game run without defeat in all competitions to boot.

Watford, on the other hand, have just one league win this season and are rooted to the foot of the table with just nine points.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of this fixture.

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: December 14 (vs. Watford)

The centre-back was forced off early in the second half of Liverpool's 2-0 win over Red Bull Salzburg last time out, but Klopp is optimistic that it is not a serious issue and the defender could be fit in time to face the Hornets.

Adam Lallana

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: December 14 (vs. Watford)

The midfielder is set to return to training and Klopp has suggested he does not want to rush the Englishman back. Liverpool have a wealth of midfield options and will give Lallana the time he needs to make a full recovery.

Fabinho

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

The Brazilian holding midfielder is a unique player within Klopp's squad, but with no timescale given for his return, Liverpool will have to traverse the busy Christmas period without an important member of the squad.

Joel Matip

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: December 29 (vs. Wolves)

The Cameroonian defender could make a return just before the end of 2019, but will need to rebuild the strength around the knee sufficiently after recovering from the initial injury.

Nathaniel Clyne

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

A long-term absentee, no time frame has been provided for the right-back's return. He should be able to feature for the Reds before the end of the season, however.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no suspended players for this fixture.
