Liverpool midfielder James Milner has admitted that it is a 'relief' to progress into the last 16 of the Europa League.
Jurgen Klopp's side had 24 attempts at goal, but needed just one as Milner's fifth-minute penalty was the only goal to separate themselves from Augsburg on Thursday night.
It was a nervy end to the match as the German visitors ramped up the pressure in the final 20 minutes, but Liverpool held on to claim the win.
When asked by BT Sport after the game whether the overwhelming feeling was relief, Milner said: "I think so. In the first half we played quite well. In the second half we didn't start really - we didn't hit the levels of the first half.
"We're still in it. It's a strong competition. Everyone in there is capable of winning it. We've got the quality and hopefully we can stay in it as long as we can."
Liverpool will discover who their last-16 opponents are in tomorrow's draw in Nyon.
