Marvin Martin admits that his old side Sochaux should not be expecting any favours from him when they meet Lille tonight.

Lille playmaker Marvin Martin has said that his focus is on helping his new club qualify for the Champions League, even if it means putting his old side further into the relegation mire.

A win for Lille could see them move temporarily into the Ligue 1 top three, while Sochaux would remain 18th having played a game more than the teams around them.

Martin, however, said that he would not pass up an opportunity to score if presented with one.

"I left that club less than a year ago and I still have a lot of mates there," the 25-year-old told Ligue1.com. "I hope they survive in Ligue 1 because I don't want to see them relegated. I owe what I am today to that club, but of course I won't hesitate if I have the chance to score on Friday.

"There are only five matches left, 15 points and qualification for Europe up for grabs. I can't hide my desire, or that of the team to give everything for this final sprint finish, and qualify for Europe. To make it into the Champions League again next season would be magnificent!"

The two sides meet tonight in Lille, with a 7.30pm kickoff.
