Report: Leicester City open Jonny Evans talks

Leicester City open talks with Jonny Evans over a move for the West Bromwich Albion centre-back, according to a report.

Leicester City have reportedly opened talks with Jonny Evans over a move for the West Bromwich Albion centre-back.

Evans, who has also previously been linked with Manchester City and Arsenal, is available for £3m this summer following West Brom's relegation from the Premier League last season.

According to The Mirror, Leicester want Evans to play alongside Harry Maguire at the heart of their defence next term, and the Foxes have opened talks with the Northern Ireland international.

Evans scored twice in 31 appearances for West Brom last season, but the centre-back only played 20 minutes of Premier League football between March 31 and the end of the campaign.

The 30-year-old made 198 appearances for Manchester United before joining West Brom in 2015.
